Meet at the Ute Trailhead on Ute Ave.
Jennie and Tom will be leading a hike up the Ute Trail on Aspen mountain (also known as Ajax Mountain). This is a 30-45 minute hike that humbles even Tom. The view of the Town of Aspen at the overlook is worth the pain! Bring water, a hat and sunscreen.
For a longer hike, continue past the overlook and follow the trail through ski runs to the top of Ajax (probably another 90-120 minutes from the overlook). If you don't want to go all the way to the top, you can follow one of the many ski runs down to the bottom. If you choose to hike past the overlook, we suggest bringing a hiking stick and additional water + an energy bar. We also recommend that you stop by Ute Mountaineer or one of the Aspen Information Booth's in the center of town to get a map of the mountain.
*NOTE THAT THE GONDOLA WILL NOT BE IN SERVICE DURING OUR WEDDING WEEKEND SO YOUR ONLY WAY DOWN FROM THE TOP OF AJAX IS ON FOOT*
